Brief introduction
Kelly cock is one type of manual control valve which for drill string circulating system, could prevent blow out efficiently. It is divided by upper Kelly cock and lower Kelly cock. Upper Kelly cock is used below tap and above Kelly, lower Kelly cock is used below Kelly and above drill pipe or between above of Kelly protecting sub. Rotating 90 degree by professional wrench to open/close. In drilling operation, connect Kelly cock above and below Kelly could avoid blow-out accident.

Structure feature
Kelly cock sealing is by rigid coordination through ball valve body and ball seat, rubber seal is as assistant. Surface is compressed by spring. When in blow-out and close Kelly cock, pressure in well will force valve key to valve seat. Kelly valve sealing is better as higher of pressure to valve seat.
